I’m an entrepreneur, professional photographer, and an artist.

I fell into love with photography many years ago while on a deep-sea fishing charter boat 20 miles outside of San Diego harbor, where I am from. On the way back to the dock, seagulls followed the fish droppings as the boat staff cleaned our catch of the day. I captured a seagull’s beak on the tip bait (herring) held in the air by my son. I then took that infamous shot: deep blue sky, no clouds, and just the seagull. Only a beginner, I was hooked.

My business career required a tremendous amount of traveling domestically and internationally. My camera always at my side when I found free time. It wasn’t hard to be inspired by my surroundings because I found unique and exciting places on my travels.

In 2013 I decided to sell my technology consulting firm and pursue my professional career in photography. I opened a photography studio and art gallery, PJR Photography and Studio, LLC. I made the studio available to other artists via specialized photoshoots, studio rental, and individual artist gallery shows. It was during this time that I fell in love with the art of portrait photography. I love getting close to my subject and capturing their essence. Several of my photographs are from the open studio shoots that I offered to other artists. My goal was to allow other photographers to learn the joy of shooting in the studio. Photography is about capturing light, and most photographers rely on outdoor lighting for most of their photographs.

Our clutch purses are handmade with attention to detail and excellent quality. Additional items for the home and personal style will be added to our product line as we grow the company.

We are pleased to open our store with handmade clutch bags, 100% made in the USA. Each bag is unique and one-of-a-kind. Creating each clutch purse begins with an extensive search for trendy, high quality, durable material. We like to select patterns that are currently in season. Soon we will offer custom services for bridal showers or large orders for group sales.
