John Krachinski, Bio

John grew up in farm country in North Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania. The family-owned quite the area of land which John explored since he was a young child. His aspirations were not in working the land but to capture its essence and beauty with his photography. Starting with a small camera, he eventually moved on to his first professional camera in high school, where he found his inherent passion… Photography.

John was most contented just going off in any direction to find something new and intriguing that was caught in his lens. He was never tired of what he saw through his camera and what he could develop once he was in his darkroom. He was very humble about his talent and very versed in all the aspects that he learned from various mentors he admired, most of all photographer Ansel Adams.

John worked tirelessly to capture his photography’s physical, mental, and emotional process and showcase the feeling and relationship that each piece demonstrates through his perception.

As a professional photographer, John demonstrated his creative eye within his beautiful photographs exhibited in landscape and portraiture formats. His photographic style can be compared to that of Ansel Adams and Edward Weston. They served as mentors throughout his career.

His studios included: NewBright Images, Chapel Studio, and John Michael Photography. He is best known for his wit and gentle spirit. Always ready to share his artistry and technique with those who wanted to share his kind of passion. John’s imagery would always bring a smile to his audience and appreciation for his craft. He will be remembered for his unique style and strong photographic themes, and his love for the “photograph.”
